Lo stupore e le cose. Il dispiegarsi di un'emozione nell'epica greca arcaica

This paper examines the passages of Homeric poetry that describe wonder. In showing the characteristics of the cultural representation of this emotion, we will focus on two points: first, the emotion arrives togheter with a cognitive crisis of man; second, the tales bring into play a series of thaumastic objects that are the responsibles for this emotion and that are identified as mediators between several periods (past, present, future) and dimensions (human and supernatural).
