The Council for the internal regulation of the Chamber has recently approved the «Regulation of the lobbies’ ac- tivities by the Chamber’s sites» in which, for the very first time in Italy, it is given a definition of «lobbying activ- ity», that is subdued to the inscription and regular maintenance of a «Register of subjects professionally playing [such] activity [...] by the deputies». Is it a “first step” towards the full regulation of the “lobbying phenomenon”? Or else, a new consciousness – by the Legislator – of the relevance of such phenomenon, even in Italy, related to the process of transformation of the various forms of interests’ representation? From the text of this very short Regulation some points may be assumed, about either the status quo or the perspectives of the normative evolution on “interests’ groups” – and their activity – in the Italian Constitutional system.
