This paper aims to discuss the theoretical frameworks and the methodolog- ical aspects of the interdisciplinary teaching in order to integrate physical education and other subject areas of the primary school curriculum. Inte- grating physical education with the primary school curriculum means de- signing learning objectives and contents aimed to develop of fundamental motor skills or other educational goals fostering a Physically Literate indi- vidual. The main interdisciplinary teaching models were described in this paper and a theoretical development adopting an ecological and co-disci- plinary perspective was proposed in order to designing interdisciplinary educational interventions that value the embodied dimension of the hu- man nature and the adaptive inclination of the mind in detecting the rela- tionships among the parts and attributing meanings to the whole.

Abstract
This paper aims to discuss the theoretical frameworks and the methodolog- ical aspects of the interdisciplinary teaching in order to integrate physical education and other subject areas of the primary school curriculum. Inte- grating physical education with the primary school curriculum means de- signing learning objectives and contents aimed to develop of fundamental motor skills or other educational goals fostering a Physically Literate indi- vidual. The main interdisciplinary teaching models were described in this paper and a theoretical development adopting an ecological and co-disci- plinary perspective was proposed in order to designing interdisciplinary educational interventions that value the embodied dimension of the hu- man nature and the adaptive inclination of the mind in detecting the rela- tionships among the parts and attributing meanings to the whole.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
