The increasing deployment of cloud computing resources around the world is rising the interest in models for resource selection based on QoS (quality of service) and security requirements of requested services. These models should take into account features of the computing as well as the network resources for service delivery. In this paper we design a cloud service trust model to facilitate joint selection of computing and networking resources. We leverage on trust to represent the confidence in QoS and security features implemented by computing and networking providers. Then we define a service trust, also called end-to-end trust, representing the trust in both its computing and networking resources. Key aspect of the proposed model is that it puts network and computing resources at the same level for an effective service evaluation and therefore resource selection. The model requires monitoring information about computing and networking sites and considers two alternative network monitoring systems. Simulation results prove its effectiveness for resource selection.

Abstract
Simulation results prove its effectiveness for resource selection.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
