The volume is the exhibition catalogue of "Faraonska renesansa. Arhaizem in pomen zgodovine v starem Egiptu [Cancarjev Dom, Ljubljana, March 8 – July 20, 2008]". The article gives the sense of the exhibition and propose a new approach to the view of the "archaistic phenomenon" in the ancient Egyptian culture attributing it, more than to the arrival of foreign people from south (25th Dynasty), to a rediscovery of the ancient Memphite cultural heritage.
