Climate change and the increasing urbanization of rural areas have raised the risk of wildfires, causing significant damage to the environment and biodiversity. This article proposes the implementation of a monitoring system based on IoT technologies and predictive mathematical models, designed to detect environmental conditions conducive to the development of fires. The system utilizes a network of sensors that collect data on parameters such as temperature, humidity, and wind speed, processed in real time to predict the propagation of a fire. Adopting this system could significantly improve the response capabilities of authorities and help mitigate environmental damage.

Abstract

Climate change and the increasing urbanization of rural areas have raised the risk of wildfires, causing significant damage to the environment and biodiversity. This article proposes the implementation of a monitoring system based on IoT technologies and predictive mathematical models, designed to detect environmental conditions conducive to the development of fires. The system utilizes a network of sensors that collect data on parameters such as temperature, humidity, and wind speed, processed in real time to predict the propagation of a fire. Adopting this system could significantly improve the response capabilities of authorities and help mitigate environmental damage.
