Il fondo dei Greffiers des Bâtiments come fonte per gli interventi settecenteschi nella chiesa dei Teatini di Parigi

The paper aims to explore the role of the Expertise as source of main importance for History of Architecture and Urbanism in Paris of Early Modern age, through the case study of the Theatine church of Sainte-Anne-la-Royale in Paris. Putting on evidence the relevance acquired by the figure of royal experts, that were legally established by the monarchy with a series of reforms conducted between the 16th and the 18th century, the paper deals with the unfortunate construction process of the Theatine church. Although the extraordinary position in the center of Paris, in front of the Palace of the Louvre, the church never got sufficient donations to be completed. The first expertice found and studied alights the first construction phase under the governance of the famous architect Guarino Guarini. A new, unpublished, proces verbal of 1719 fund in the Greffiers des bâtiments archival collection of the Archives Nationales de Paris sheds light on the complection of the church in 18th century.
