This study examines the application of research methodologies in brownfield research. We reviewed 18 articles (2018-2023) through meta-analysis to integrate methodological approaches. There are four main themes in the results: community involvement, urban planning, environmental sustainability, and technology. The most important of these is environmental sustainability. Quantitative methods dominated the literature, while mixed-methods approaches were inadequately utilized. A deficiency was identified in comparative studies assessing the impacts of brownfield redevelopment on minority communities. Qualitative studies showed that they didn't use analytical tools very often and sometimes used theoretical frameworks that weren't very clear. The study concludes that brownfield redevelopment offers insights for architectural and urban redesign, positioning it as a crucial process in spatial transformation.
