The growing use of digital techniques, such as 3D laser scanner, has radically transformed the techniques for the survey, understanding and conservation of architectural heritage. At the same time, great efforts have been made in the improvement of cataloging and digitization systems and telematics networking. Specific sharing applications, integrated within websites specially created, allow today to make available through the network, in addition to traditional information, even 3D data. This paper focus on the usefulness of new technologies for investigation and documentation of cultural goods, showing a case study concerning the archaeological and monumental area of Aruch, one of the most significant sacred sites in Armenia.
