In this article, we aim to introduce the theme of the complex relationship between the city and the food, noting that the reflections that we will make in this stage will stop at the threshold of the domestic space, which is also closely related to food. We are well aware that the food, the house and the city are an almost inseparable triad. It is a true fact that food has a great influence on many aspects of people's daily lives. Many disciplines tangent to architecture, such as geography, sociology and anthropology, have long been concerned with the relationship between food and the city. The literature in these areas is vast, but architecture and urbanism are just beginning to emerge with coherent and well-founded studies on this subject, which also have a great impact on the spatial organization of our lives. Therefore, this article wants to highlight some aspects of the relationship between food and public space, outlining some useful ideas for future research.
