Abstract

At last, the issue of the minimum wage seems to be the subject of consideration by the European Union, also in consideration of the great differences between its various national legal systems: on October 28, 2020, a proposal for a directive concerning the introduction of the minimum wage within the EU countries was issued. This legislative provision, however, leaves room for more than one criticism where, in particular, it is not mandatory towards those European states that do not yet envisage the measure in question in favor of workers.
