Differenza, identità e complessità in una prospettiva pedagogica postmoderna

Rethinking pedagogy in the light of changes in today’s world involves confronting postmodernity and revising one’s paradigms to define subjectivity and relationships in an educational perspective. Reality is increasingly appearing as a system with variable and changing structures. As a consequence, what has become central is no longer the identical of Western thought tradition, but difference in all its acceptations. Pedagogy needs to focus on the singularity on the student, with emancipation and inclusion as its objectives. In today’s complex and competitive system, it thus becomes fundamental to teach active citizenship, mutual recognition, awareness and reciprocity. Only if pedagogy manages to effectively pursue equality and equal opportunity, and become a strategy for the protection of minorities, will authentic cultural and social integration be achieved, and the weaker students be fully vindicated.

Ripensare la pedagogia in rapporto alle trasformazioni del mondo contemporaneo prevede un confronto con la postmodernità e una revisione dei paradigmi per definire la soggettività e la relazione in chiave educativa. La realtà si presenta sempre più come un sistema a strutture variabili e in trasformazione. Allora centrale non è più l’identico della tradizione del pensiero occidentale, ma la differenza con tutte le sue declinazioni, e la pedagogia deve porre l’attenzione sulla singolarità dell’allievo avendo come obiettivi l’emancipazione e l’inclusione. Nel sistema contemporaneo, complesso e competitivo, diventa quindi fondamentale educare alla cittadinanza attiva, al mutuo riconoscimento, alla coscientizzazione e alla reciprocità. Soltanto se la pedagogia saprà essere pratica effettiva per l’uguaglianza e le pari opportunità e strategia per la tutela delle minoranze, si realizzeranno un’autentica integrazione culturale e sociale e un pieno riscatto per gli allievi più fragili.
