Abstract
In Sicily, the “macchia Mediterranea” extending 110,000 hectares, i.e. 21% of the whole woody area, is the most emblematic and representative plant cogenesis. In the world, it is also an important biodiversity reserve because, in front of its low territorial extinction - just 2% - thè macchia, together with chaparral, fynbos, and other similar coenoses, includes more than 20% of total plant and animal species to date observed.File in questo prodotto:
