A new technique is described for a biliodigestive anastomosis, involving the preparation of a long bile duct stump and duodenal puncture with a 21-Gauge needle in which a strand is inserted to pull the bile duct through the duodenum; the bile duct is then cannulated and the anastomosis fastened with fibrin glue. The lack of both intra- and postoperative complications, in addition to a normal histological appearance and long-term functionality of the anastomosis suggest that this technique can be usefully employed in experimental surgery in small animals.

Abstract
A new technique is described for a biliodigestive anastomosis, involving the preparation of a long bile duct stump and duodenal puncture with a 21-Gauge needle in which a strand is inserted to pull the bile duct through the duodenum; the bile duct is then cannulated and the anastomosis fastened with fibrin glue. The lack of both intra- and postoperative complications, in addition to a normal histological appearance and long-term functionality of the anastomosis suggest that this technique can be usefully employed in experimental surgery in small animals.File in questo prodotto:
