The use of plant extracts for the treatment of a large variety of human diseases is well established since ancient time. Currently, there are growing interests on the natural extracts as a prominent source of chemical compounds with different biological activity. Juglans regia L. (common walnut) is a deciduous tree belonging to Juglandaceae family. Walnut was widely used in traditional medicine for its antidiabetic, antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-atherogenic and antiinflammatory effects. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the antibacterial and antiviral activities of walnuts pellicle extract.
