The geographies of the crisis, which characterize our planet in the era of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, may lead to a redefinition of the world order. The desired idea of a humanity united and recognized as universal heritage is not, however, correspondence in the political strategies of the individual major world powers. The latter rather try to ensure their supremacy over other major competitors than to find multilateral spaces of true partnership, where the idea of unity in diversity can be taken into account. After having approached, using a spatiotemporal comparison, the subject of the current pandemic crisis and its symmetrical relations with those of the beginning of the last century, this research will focus on the acceleration characterizing, now, the geopolitical processes, in order to consider future scenarios on the preeminent West-East axis.
