Abstract
Circulating biomarkers are a fundamental tool that offers numerous advantages compared to other diagnostic tools, such as radiological ones, not least the relatively low cost. Thanks to studies evaluating their efficiency and effectiveness, new biomarkers have found space in routine clinical practice in recent years. The implementation of new biomarkers in clinical practice has the potential to revolutionize patient diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment strategies. This collective paper, based on discussions from the 56th SIBioC Congress (Bologna, October 2024), provides an overview of key emerging circulating biomarkers, their analytical performance, and their impact on clinical decision-making. Adopting new biomarkers in clinical settings can enhance diagnostic accuracy, reduce healthcare costs, and improve patient care.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
