Sin dagli albori della sua invenzione, la fotografia ha svolto un ruolo essenziale nella rappresentazione dell’architettura. Caratteristica del nostro tempo, essa ha permesso una nuova visione sul mondo e la definizione di un nuovo linguaggio che ha investito pienamente anche il settore dei beni culturali, rivelandosi un mezzo prezioso per la loro conoscenza, conservazione e documentazione. Da strumento utile al rilievo metrico, la fotografia ha progressivamente visto evolvere il suo ruolo in funzione di obiettivi sempre più attenti non solo agli oggetti architettonici in sé, ma anche al loro rapporto con lo spazio. L’attenzione si è, dunque, via via spostata anche su aspetti prima trascurati e la fotografia si è adeguata, anche tecnologicamente, alle nuove finalità. Questo lavoro si propone di indagare tali aspetti evidenziandone le peculiarità. Since the early days of its invention, photography has played an essential role in the representation of architecture. Characteristic of our time, it has allowed a new view on the world and the establishment of a new language that has fully invested even the cultural heritage sector, proving to be an invaluable means for their knowledge, conservation and documentation. As a useful tool for the metric survey, the role of photography has gradually evolved as a function of objectives increasingly attentive not only to the architectural objects in themselves, but also to their relationships with space. The focus, therefore, is also gradually moved on before neglected aspects and photography has adapted, even technologically, to new purposes. This work aims to investigate these aspects, highlighting the peculiarities.
