L'articolo si focalizza sulla presenza a Genova delle opere in lingua cinese e latina prodotte dal gesuita Prospero Intorcetta (1625-1696), presenza connessa al suo passaggio nella città e alla collezione di testi cinesi formatasi nel Collegio gesuitico, oltre all'interesse delle famiglie patrizie genovesi per l'estremo oriente.
